Twenty members of the Builders Sunday School Class went on a trip Thursday, October 13, 2011 to the north Georgia mountains. Pastor Jamie Lambert drove the church van and was a great driver and outstanding navigator with the help of a GPS and several seniors telling him where to go!
The first stop was at Panorama Orchards where we purchased apples along with other items. (We just picked the apples out of bins not off the trees!) Then we had a delicious barbecue lunch at the Pink Pig in Cherry Log, Georgia with Mary Cheves as our hostess. Following lunch the group went to Mary's cabin for dessert that included fried apple pies and apple cider. The class enjoyed visiting at Mary's cabin and appreciate her having us. The rains came but didn't damper spirits as the group returned to Fayetteville. |
