Duties, responsibilities, work emphases:
Tracey is entering his 5th academic year as the RUF Campus Minister for international students at Georgia Tech. Every Tuesday night he hosts a large dinner (60-80 students) and Bible study, this school year focusing on “Wisdom for Life” (from Proverbs). He also hosts weekly small group Bible studies on campus as well as in his and Suzanne’s home, this year watching and discussing the video series “Reason for God”. He meets with at least 8 students every week in one-on-one appointments. He preaches at local Atlanta area Presbyterian churches throughout the year, and will be preaching at the RUFI Fall Conference (Sept. 20-22) to international students from 3 different campuses, including Georgia Tech. And, somewhere during any week, he spends at least a few hours in fundraising for personal and ministry budget.
A little bit personal: Tracey loves to cook on his smoker … BBQ, brisket, ribs, pizzas … This is what he likes to do in his spare time. He also likes to read about cooking.

Prayer needs:
- Pray for their family! On December 17th 2018, they became a family of 4. Tracey’s wife, Suzanne, stays at home to care for their 2 sons, Charlie (3) and Hudson (8 months). Pray for grace and patience as they all adjust to this new life and as they continue their ministry and training of Charlie and Hudson. Tracey has set a goal of taking Suzanne on a date at least once a month, which means -- getting a babysitter!
- Pray that they are able to partner with more individuals/families/churches for financial support! Their budget for 2020 has increased because they are planning for additional opportunities for God's Word to go out in 2020!
- Pray that God would provide Georgia Tech RUFI a female staff member! Their male international students have been truly blessed by Austin Slater, our current male intern. We had been praying for at least 2 years for a female intern to join us as well, in welcoming the nations. Instead, Tracey has received word from a Covenant College and Westminster Seminary (California) graduate who would love to work with internationals and who is interviewing as a female staff member (which means committing for 3-5 years). Ever since his first semester (Fall of 2015), Tracey has seen the impact Suzanne has made in the lives of their international female students/spouses and how important it is to have both male and female staff members or interns.
- Pray that Georgia Tech RUFI students who attended Summer Conference this Summer would continue to grow in their faith and service wherever they may be on campus, at home, or in the world! Summer Conference is an amazing annual opportunity for students to learn and grow in their knowledge of who God is and to discuss deeper theological topics from Scripture. It is a week-long trip to Florida with thousands of RUF students from across the country. Every morning, they have the chance to attend two amazing seminars (taught by RUF campus ministers) and every evening, worship in song/prayer and hear God's Word preached. This year, on their last and free day at the beach, 22 RUFI GT students went to a nearby home to build in coordination with Sheds of Hope a storage shed for the landlord of a refugee family from Hurricane Michael (Oct., 2018) to give their landlord an opportunity to be blessed by God’s ministry and hear the love of Jesus.
