Duties, responsibilities, work emphases:

A little bit personal:

Favorite pastime:        Tim - watching and playing sports, live music
Andrea - reading, gardening
Maggie - drawing/artwork
Rachel - hanging out with her friends
Hannah - singing and acting

Favorite food:             Tim - French fries
Andrea - Chocolate cake

Favorite book/movie: Tim – “Chariots of Fire” (movie)
Andrea – “From Fear to Freedom: Living as Sons and Daughters of
God” (by Rose Marie Miller)
Maggie - Marvel comics movies

Andrea and Tim also love camping, hiking and the outdoors, but we have a hard time fitting those activities into their lives anymore.

After 20 years of pastoral ministry in PCA local churches (Trinity in Tuscaloosa, Westminster in Atlanta and Redeemer in Athens) the Lord redirected Tim and Andrea's hearts toward the huge needs in sub-Saharan Africa. They are now dedicated to spending the rest of their ministry life seeking to make a difference for the Gospel in the lives of Africans, especially in Uganda, but also in Malawi, Liberia, and the many other countries from which our students come.

Prayer needs (or points of focus):

  • For Andrea’s health – she has a chronic pancreas condition. It is under control but requires more medical care than the average person as well as medicine and careful lifestyle choices.
  • Maggie (youngest daughter) is struggling with health issues and needs prayers to return to school and finish well.
  • For their three daughters: 1 senior in high school, 2 in college.
  • For ABC Malawi to be fully accredited by Transnational Assoc. of Christian Colleges & Schools (TRACS) in April 2020. TRACS accreditation with ABC Uganda & ABC Liberia will follow.
  • New leadership at ABC Uganda following retirement of founding Vice Chancellor.
  • For Tim’s frequent travel in the US and to Africa, and for the Andrea and girls when he is away.
  • For ABC’s students and alumni as they take the training they have received and put it into practice in the villages, towns and cities across Africa.
  • For the rest of ABC’s missionary faculty and staff in Liberia, Uganda, and Malawi as they teach and train their students.
