ABOUT COVENANT’S WOMEN’S MINISTRIES

The Women’s Ministries at Covenant Presbyterian Church are set up to encourage every woman in the church to develop her personal relationship with Christ. Covenant WIC (Women in the Church) is the organization that oversees the different groups in which women can grow spiritually, pray, fellowship, get to know each other and to serve others. CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS! 

There are several teams of 3 ladies per team that take turns cleaning the Wheeler home once a month.  They are in need of new/ additional volunteers; call Brenda Wilkins if you would like more information or willing to sign up – 770-487-2008.  Volunteers also go over to help with Lynn’s personal care assisting trained workers; for information on this aspect of Covenant Care Ministry, call Laurel De Bert – 770-996-3778.  It is a blessing to be a “servant” to our sister in Christ!

Ladies Small Group

Fellowship and study.  Meets Sunday at 6:00-7:30 PM.  Childcare is provided during Pioneer Clubs/Youth Group.  NOTE:  This group will not meet again until the fall.

Leader is Janet Granski.

Ladies' Breakfast and Bible Study

Tuesday mornings, 9 AM at the Fayetteville Dwaft House.  This group will continue to meet during the Summer.

Leader is Mary Cheves.

Faith Circle

Fellowship and study.  Meets the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 AM at either the church or a member’s home.  The last meeting before summer break will be May 13.  No childcare provided.  This group will continue to study "What the Bible is All About" by Dr. Henrietta Mears. 

Wednesday Morning Ladies’ Bible Study

Have a great summer!   A new group will probably be formed in the fall - more details later on.

Naomi Fellowship

This group of ladies will meet and have lunch together immediately following the 11 o'clock worship on the 4th Sunday of each month. The next scheduled time to meet is Sunday, May 25.

WIC COUNCIL

The next Council meeting is set for Wednesday, June 25, 7:15 pm. at Allice Harris' home.   This will be a transitional meeting with the current members and new slate of officers to do some planning together.

Covenant Care Ministry

On-going organized service opportunities to church members, friends and their families who have long-term health needs

Food Ministry

Meals are delivered to those in need due to hospital stays, new mothers or the bereaved. Contact Alice Harris, WIC Food Ministry Coordinator, if you are willing to help with a meal.

College Student and Military Service Care Packages

Care packages are sent to college students and those serving in the military.  Valentine "goodie" boxes are being prepared for College Feshman and Sophomores.  Please turn in addresses to June Gunden, WIC Spiritual Growth Chairman or to the church office.  There will be a box in the foyer to collect any goodies contributed, such as -- snacks, school supplies, hot chocolate mix.   Deadline for brining the goodies is February 10.

Nursery Ministry

Child care is provided at the church during Sunday services, Sunday evenings during Pioneer Clubs, Wednesday mornings for Bible Study and at other church events.  Volunteers needed!

Bereavement Ministry

Food is provided for the bereaved members, their families and out-of-town guests after the funeral or memorial service.

Special Events Ministry

Bridal and baby showers, all church receptions, Thanksgiving celebration, Valentine party, Mother/Daughter teas, and women’s retreats are just a few of the events where women can serve and participate.
