 Every Sunday

  • Morning worship service -- 10:55 AM for worship, with organ and sanctuary choir. There is Children's Church during this time.

  • Adult Sunday School Classes - 9:45 to 10:45 AM

  • Prayer before Worship -- in the Pastor's Office -- 10:30 AM

  • Evening Praise Service -- 4:44 PM for Contemporary style music, meditation and prayer

  • Pioneer Clubs -- 6:00 PM for youngsters from age 2 through 5th grade; a nursery is also provided. 

  • Youth Group -- The ROCK -- will begin meeting at 6:00 PM at the Covenant House. 
SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES FOR ALL AGES

Every Sunday morning between 9:45 and 10:45 am  -- a nursery is provided. See the "Adults" page for the list of Adult Classes.

 

EVENING PRAISE SERVICE - 4:44 PM Sunday evenings

This will be a contemporary style worship service; music will be led by Marty Alexander and a Praise Team, Pastor Myers will bring a meditation.  Plan to come to worship morning and evening – invite your friends as well.  Nursery will be available.

 
 GIDEONS INTERNATIONAL

On Sunday, March 14, a representative of Gideons International will present a brief overview of their ministry and an offering will be taken at the end of the service at the door in support of this ministry.

 

50 DAYS OF PRAYER DEVOTIONAL BOOKLET 

Consider ordering your own copy of the “50 Days of Prayer – The Gospel of the Kingdom” to use as personal or family devotions.  This year’s will be based on the Sermon on the Mount.  See insert for more details and order form.  Deadline for ordering is March 21.

Gift Cards for our College Students

In lieu of goody boxes this year, the Women in the Church have elected to send $5.00 restaurant and store gift cards to our college students.  We feel this is more efficient and saves a tremendous amount of money on postage. In order to make this a success …WE NEED YOUR HELP

If you can donate a $5.00 gift card from any of the below named businesses, it would be greatly appreciated!  You may give your donated cards to Debbie Epps, Nan Aycock, or place them in Laurel De Bert’s box in the church office.  You may also write a tax-deductible check to Covenant (write “college gift cards” on the memo line and place in the offering plate) and the WIC will purchase the gift cards with your donation.  Our college students always appreciate their "spring treat" from the congregation and we would like this year’s treat to be delivered by Easter!  Deadline is March 21.

KINGDOM FOCUS PRAYER TIME

Wednesdays at Noon – stop wherever you are at to pray.  You are welcome to join with others for a time of prayer in the Pastor’s Study at Church at this time.

SCRAPBOOKING

New dates to get-together to work on scrapbooks are set . Contact Jan Starr for more details.

   
ITEMS OF NOTE: 
SHORT TERM MISSIONS TRIP

A team from Covenant Church is being formed to partner with our sister PCA church, Redeemer Presbyterian in New Orleans, to assist in repairing homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina.  Currently, there are over 7,0,,, flood damaged homes remaining in the city.  A wide variety of skills are needed -- volunteers to gut homes, reframe houses, paint, landscape, and help with administrative work.  Skilled professions that can redo plumbing and run electrical wire are also needed.  Can you dedicate a week -- May 15 - 22, 2010?  Contact a member of the Missions Committee.  Cost is minimal and depends on the number going.  Information meeting - Sunday, March 7.
